Cautioning after dry climate clean fire at Castlecliff

A clean fire along the fringe of Castlecliff Golf Club on Tuesday was caused by a start from a controlled blaze.

Firefighters were called to the club at around 4.30pm to put out the fire which spread over a territory 150m by 30m along the northern outskirt of the course.

Around four fire machines and country fire units went to.

“It was under control before long,” senior station officer Aaron Summerhays said.

He said dry conditions had added to the fire which took around three hours to put out.

Mr Summerhays said it was an opportune suggestion to take mind with flame given the dry conditions in the region right now.

“Check to ensure there are no limitations set up before you begin consuming.”
