Pokemon Go ‘Haram’, Fatwa restored following 16 years
JEDDAH: An old fatwa banning the Pokemon Go diversion has been renewed.in Saudi Arabia.
The General Secretariat of the Council of Senior Scholars, on the site of the General Presidency for Scholarly Research and Ifta, has obviously restored the fatwa of the Standing Committee for Issuing Fatwas banning the disputable versatile amusement.
The old fatwa (No. 21,758), issued 16 years back in 2001, considered the diversion a type of betting, which is taboo in Islam.
Sheik Saleh Al-Fozan, an individual from the Council of Senior Scholars, said that the present adaptation of the amusement is the same as the old one.
The fatwa refered to various preclusions that legitimize the banning of the diversion, including betting practices as two of the players contend to pick up cards which hold distinctive costs, and the more grounded position of the two players wins the card; if the other player does not have any desire to lose the card, he or she should pay its cost.
Alternate preclusions concern polytheism and the confidence in and love of numerous divine beings, notwithstanding the advancement and promoting of doubt, logos, taboo pictures and different notices.
